New SuperWave
mast will Do It All
Fiberspar has combined the legendary Tidal Wave and the freestyle
benchmark, the Reflex Wave, into one standard diameter mast that
does it all. If you want a wave mast that gives you excellent freeride
and bump & jump performance and can take your crash and burn,
the Super Wave is the ultimate choice in standard diameter. If you’re
now a RDM guy, check out the Radius or Tidal Wave RDM.

Tidal Wave
RDM
Now that the Radius masts have established a new standard, and
RDMs in general are clearly the wave of the future, Fiberspar is
pleased to offer the first RDM in the mid-range price. The new Tidal
Wave RDM weighs less than the standard diameter Tidal Wave and is
similarly priced. The bend and stiffness matches the Radius RDM,
and is a perfect choice for most wave, freestyle, and free-move
sails. Tidal Wave RDM prototypes were used successfully with Gaastra
Sails at the Surf Magazine test in South Africa. Combine with the
Posi-Lock RDM mast extension and there is nothing standing between
you and a responsive Fiberspar RDM rig.
Jonas Ceballos and other wave rippers have been putting the Tidal
Wave RDM thru the pounding conditions of Pozo and Hookipa with stellar
results.

Fiberspar further reinforces the Posi Lock cleats
After five years of abuse, we’ve seen what can make the ultimate
mast extensions even better. So we’ve updated the Posi Locks
accordingly. With tremendous leverage from the sail, we saw that
the 40cm Posi Lock RDM extensions, over time, could cause the plastic
cleat assembly to bend where the carbon tube exits. So we increased
the plastic walls of the cleats and added more beef in the corners
to stiffen things up.
We also saw that under big poundings you could get the steel axel
that holds the pulley shives to finally bend. So we beefed up that
pin as well just in case.
We also know with 12 meter race sails, mind boggling downhaul loads,
and 40+cm mast extension it was possible to break the carbon tube
on the Posi Lock 46cm or Reflex 46cm mast extensions. So we beefed
up the laminate on those long, standard diameter extensions.
Most of you never had any problems with your Fiberspar mast extensions,
but it’s amazing the stress windsurfing gear goes thru compared
to five years ago. Fiberspar is ready to adapt. Is your body?

Young Guns Choose Fiberspar It is great to see all the
new young guns storming the PWA pro leader boards and it is no longer
uncommon to see half of the top ten younger than 21. Fiberspar is
leading the way in providing strong, innovative gear that is taking
freestyle to a whole new dimension. We led the way with the 170-208cm
Posi Grip boom, RDM masts, and then the Posi-Lock easy-to-use mast
extensions. Now we have introduced the Tidal Wave RDM to bring RDM
durability and handling to a more affordable price and the new generation
of rippers.
Leading the youth brigade are Tonky, Taty, and Choco Frans as well
as Kiri Thode from Bonaire, Jonas Ceballos from the Canary Islands,
Remko de Weerd from Holland, Jace Panebianco from U.S.A. and many
other new faces. Tonky Frans is famous for his infectious smile
and winning the PWA Freestyle Finals- The King of the Caribbean.
Taty Frans has won the King of the Cape twice and is always a top
five finisher in the big PWA events. Reemko wins the Costa Brava
World Cup in Spain, and Jonas Ceballos famously defeated World Champion
Bjorn Dunkerbeck on his home turf to place second at the PWA wave
championships in Pozo, Gran Canaria. Look for fifteen year old Kiri
Thode to challenge all these guys for the Freestyle podium. And
check out his incredible Gekko Flaka. These guys are proving every
day what you can do with a young heart and Fiberspar gear. Check
out Jonas putting the Tidal Wave RDM, Fiberspar booms and Posi-Lock
extensions to the test.

at the amazing strength of America's Cup battens built by Fiberspar.
Standing over 17 meters tall (52 feet), Wind Reeds has with stood
100-MPH hurricane force winds. If you’re passing through Raleigh,
